APPLE MULLED WINE RECIPE | Homemade Apfelglühwein

Homemade apple mulled wine made with fresh apple juice! The real European recipe made healthy! Incredibly easy to make on the stovetop, easy to customize with add-ins ( like Rim or Brandy !). So cozy and delicious. Perfect for winter and holiday entertaining!

Ingredienti

  • 1 l apple juice from about 10 Golden apples
  • 1 organic orange only the peel
  • 1-2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 star anise
  • 4 cloves

For the alcoholic version

  • 15-20 ml of Rum or Brandy per person

Istruzioni

  • Wash and cut the apple in wedges. Insert them in the slow juicer and juice until you obtain 1l of apple juice.
  • Simmer for about 8/10 minutes the apple juice with cinnamon, orange peel (not zest grated), star anise and cloves.
  • Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Pass the sauce through a strainer lined with kitchen cloth. Help yourself mixing with a spatula.
  • You'll get a good amount of leftover apple puree that you can use to make some vegan gingerbread cookies, porridge or apple pancakes.
  • After straining, you should have around 680ml of apple brulè.
  • Serve the homemade apple brulè immediately. (Make sure it's hot! It must reach at least 80°C/175°F).

Note

Storage
Apple Burlè can be stored in the fridge in a glass bottle for up to 2 weeks (or more)! I promise you that it is as good as the first day! Reheat before serving.
