APPLE MULLED WINE RECIPE | Homemade Apfelglühwein
Homemade apple mulled wine made with fresh apple juice! The real European recipe made healthy! Incredibly easy to make on the stovetop, easy to customize with add-ins ( like Rim or Brandy !). So cozy and delicious. Perfect for winter and holiday entertaining!

- 1 l apple juice from about 10 Golden apples
- 1 organic orange only the peel
- 1-2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise
- 4 cloves
For the alcoholic version
- 15-20 ml of Rum or Brandy per person
Wash and cut the apple in wedges. Insert them in the slow juicer and juice until you obtain 1l of apple juice.
Simmer for about 8/10 minutes the apple juice with cinnamon, orange peel (not zest grated), star anise and cloves.
Remove from heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Pass the sauce through a strainer lined with kitchen cloth. Help yourself mixing with a spatula.
You'll get a good amount of leftover apple puree that you can use to make some vegan gingerbread cookies
or apple pancakes
After straining, you should have around 680ml of apple brulè.
Serve the homemade apple brulè immediately. (Make sure it's hot! It must reach at least 80°C/175°F).
Apple Burlè can be stored in the fridge in a glass bottle for up to 2 weeks (or more)! I promise you that it is as good as the first day! Reheat before serving.
